Archachatina papyracea lives in Lagos in Nigeria.
The shell of this species in some parts similar to Adelina, approximately 60-70 mm in length. Coloration from light brown, pale orange-brown to gray-brown color with reddish muddy ottenkom.Kak they become sexually mature, they appear on a dark coil of green stripes.
Reeve (1849) gives a good description Archachatina papyracea:
"Sinks are elongated, oval-shaped, thin, with six turns, fine-grained texture, lined up at attention, Columella lightly curved slightly, light brown, mottled, dark-brown, sometimes pink Columella. Lightweight, translucent shell in a slightly rosy."
Some authors have given various kinds of status adelinae A.papyracea (A.papyracea var. Adelinae). However, anatomical studies of Mr. Mead's (1998) show that there are two different kinds! Archachatina papyracea lives only in southern Nigeria and A. adelinae is endemic in Cameroon. Sinks papyracea richly painted brown - golden hues, decorated with beautiful red and maroon pattern. This coloration is more pronounced.
